Chapter 45 of Convergence of Fates (CoF) is out for Squires!

A normal-sized chapter. Wasn't nearly as late as I feared. I think the most challenging part of writing while ill is the fact that your head feels like its filled with cotton, so excuse me if there's a some more errors than usual in the chapter.

Anyway, I'd love to hear your feedback, so don't hold back.

You can read the previous chapters in the collection.

No CoF this week?

Thank god the amount of fics I've read that had harry reach Third year then suddenly lose all his talent and get caught up by 13 year old little girls annoy me so much considering he's a grown man who has extra time

I plan the events of the chapter(not too closely) through out the week and edit the previous chapters to refresh my mood. And I try to start the night before (but I can rarely write anything above 1k words), and then push out everything in one go on the release day.

Gladiusx

So how do your usually write chapters? Over the course of the week little by little, or just all in one go on specific days? I'm really struggling with motivation with regards to writing my own fic, but I just can't get into that creative headstock easily.

Archimedes

That's a shame, but I get it. This story is great. How many more chapters do you have in mind for this?

Perraup

I post this on my discord (six chapters behind, currently at 39), and on FFN/SB/QQ/Ao3 (8 chapters behind, but usually fine-combed with one last time for smoothness/edits) There's no catching up to Harry Potter. He's talented enough in magic, and the Chamber fiasco... let's say only enhanced that. Nobody in Hogwarts grinds as hard as Harry does, so nobody will ever 'catch up'. Harry already went over seventh year theory on the run in the 7th year(this AU, not canon), what he's lacking is 'thickness' of magic and amount. The only one with remotely close chance to catch up to Harry is Juno, but the gap between the two of them is not closing up at all.

Gladiusx

I wonder were else do you publish this? Oh and as a question with Harry being currently well ahead of his peers will they start to catch up maybe not now but a year from now, after all it's no wonder he was able to pull ahead of everybody else as he knew more magic from his previous life, but he only finished 6 year schooling. I would guess ones it moves past that it becomes harder for him to stay ahead of Juno or even, Diana and Hermione if they strongly focus on their schooling and practical skills. Diana may be a bit hindered if she has a lot of Quidditch practice and Juno by trying to shoulder her house responsibility and Hermione by some of her character flaws and being in Gryffindor.

More interest in the story and winning a poll to reverse schedule with No Joy in Command. The truth is, CoF isn't that popular, sadly. While I'm often tempted to ramp up my pace and say write every thursday instead, it's not feasible in the long run (the current pace already sees me burning out), and it reduces my time for making edits, planning, and other things on top of that. That being said, I do tend to release more content. Chapters are far longer than they were originally, but that's the limit of what I can do right now.

Gladiusx

Hey thanks for the chapter! ...what would it take for weekly releases of CoF rather than bi-weekly?

Archimedes

A time-skip will be good I think.

Ryan

So that's why my tooth's filling fell out the other day!

The chemistry between Juno and Harry is going to give me a cavity
