Jon could only control all three dragons because they hatched together on his own funeral pyre and connected with magic. Winter was the one that was more closely bound as a familiar (which is a unique connection for a dragon). That connection was broken by Stormstrider when it chose a different rider. The other Targaryen dragons would have no reason to listen to Jon, as he has no links to them whatsoever. They might be amicable to Jon's valyrian blood in the wild though.

In a handful of hours. It's one of my longest chapters, and I'm waiting for my editor to take a final look at it.

Could Jon take control of the other dragons and have access to family magic since he is the head of House Targ?

Cersei often thinks that everyone else is incompetent or her enemy. The quote "Everyone but us is the enemy." comes to mind almost immediately.

Awesome chapter. Honestly surprised about how much Cersei managed to mess that talk up, although I expected her to have advisers near by. Makes me think my "out there" guess of Jon saving Aegon from the faceless man after learning what their magic feels like from Arya is more likely now. Going to the Targaryen's to show they lost the dragon size advantage to try to sue for peace & independence may be a good idea for Jon at this point. Maybe champion warfare to gain independence?
