Sastrugi Concept Art

The Sastrugi will be the first introduction to the new Empire faction, appearing in the next installment after the Jakkari. This will usher in a new era for Pinwheel of peer opponents and political intrigue!
This artwork was provided once again by our friend Oouna, featuring male and female examples of the species in different outfits. As always, this meets Oouna's extremely high standards, and the images are packed with impressive details. Of particular note are the four eyes, two of which are adapted for vision in dark water. I love the space suit and the coveralls, make sure you zoom in to check out all the little zippers and patches.

2025-07-01 06:26:33 +0000 UTCOh I LOVE them! I would be defecting to this Empire as soon as I saw them. I suspect I wouldn't be the only one either! I am very intrigued by the lore snippet as well. Nomadic space-dwellers that engage in State-sanctioned piracy. That last part alone reveals leagues about this Empire they belong to. What a fascinating species, I can't wait to read more about them and the Empire in the future. Really excited for the future of the series!
