The Doloto-class (Russian: Chisel) Torpedo Frigate is the UNN's primary missile platform, and is a mainstay in the Navy's carrier escort fleets. Equipped with twenty-four torpedo bays, two defensive railguns, four CIWS turrets, and twelve launch tubes that can accommodate larger missiles, the Doloto is a force to be reckoned with in the field. The Doloto can carry up to 600 tons of ordnance in its launch tubes, and is able to accommodate projectiles with a length of thirty feet and a mass of up to 200,000lbs. These include nuclear warheads, MAST ship-killers, and long-range smart torpedoes. With a length of 200 meters, and a hull designed to deflect radar and absorb RF radiation, the Doloto can be very difficult to detect, especially at ranges where it can jump to a new position after firing a spread of torpedoes.

I can never decide on a system to use. Metric is normal for me, but so many of my readers are familair with Imperial.

2020-06-17 19:44:28 +0000 UTCVery nice. One nitpick : quote measurements and weights in either Imperial OR Metric, not both. Only old British farts with an engineering background would use both in the same sentence and we’ll all be dust long before the UNN exists.
