Been a few weeks

Have some non-sandy cheeks!

The culmination of a years worth of anxiety and stress has come to pass and while the move was a storied few weeks things are calming now that the move is done and over with

And then my computer died lol

Gonna spare you most of the details

One day suddenly Windows became utterly unusable

"Unknown Hard Error" was the only message I got but beyond that all I could do is open the task manager and open a few exes through there before it bluescreens

Hell Ive bluescreened while loading into the command prompt and trying to run diags... annoying time consuming stuff

Anyway the main hard drive ended up being 40% corrupt and even though I eventually installed windows on a different drive the lack of functionality still exists

(I do redundant backups so nothing of value was lost luckily)

I can do stuff like draw in Sai but anything requiring more processing power than watching youtube will bluescreen me

though youtube and sai still sometimes bluescreens me lol

the bsod says the error came from "memory management" but I suspect its the motherboard itself, not the ram

I did buy hardware to try to rule out what the issue was (after days of not figuring the problem out), getting a new videocard, powersupply, Motherboard, Ram, and eventually CPU which is when I learned my AM4 CPU doesnt fit in the AM5 Socket

SO

With the new powersupply and videocard in and a new installation of windows on the NVME drive instead of the dead Sata drive the only old hardware left currently is the motherboard, ram, and cpu

Now Ive tried using one stick of ram at a time and the problem persists regardless of which stick of ram or what slot Im using so the only option left is being an issue with the motherboard/ CPU

Half of the hardware I got is currently in my old setup but the other half is here I just have to shift everything over...

Which brings me here :D

I wanted to spend SOME time drawing before I waste any more days trying to fix my computer troubles and these next few posts are the results!

That said the moment I post these Im going to sleep for a day then Ill put the new computer together in full and hope things go smoothly from there

Once thats done Ill finish the inks and color of the unifinished pics (Mae and Isabelle)
