I’ve been getting lazy and not posting textless comics, but this one NEEDED a textless version, it’s a freakin’ novelette and Celeste’s face is completely covered by text in one panel!

Extra stuff to go with last comic

Trying some new stuff with lines and shading, really liked how Blackthorn turned out and thought it was a shame she had to get smooshed in the tiny first panel, so here’s her art isolated and larger, both with and without Dylan (have I mentioned the third member of her band is named Dylan yet?)

Also included is an Emily done to see what colors I make her skin outlines

Edit: Whoop! Water effects added! Enjoy a textless version of the final art!

The water effects are gonna longer than I’d hoped to get done, and I don’t want to cheap out and just give her a shiny highlight, but I wanted something up for May. So here’s the comic without dialogue and a weirdly dry Emily! The finished version will be coming later in the week.

I’m aware of the irony of uploading a comic where a character “can’t believe it’s already April” in May, but April Fools’ fell on a Tuesday this year! I couldn’t miss the chance to have Ronnie make an M.Bison reference!

Matt has been trying to draw Ronnie and mentioned her hair being hard to decipher, which fair enough, I wasn’t even entirely sure how her hair worked until recently when I saw a nurse with a similar hair style and was like “oh that’s what I was trying to draw!”

Inked version of Emily and Cole from one of my sketch pages, was testing out a pen I ended up not liking.

My wife drew Blackthon and Vincent waaaay back when Vincent first showed up in the comics, had to wait to post it though since I wasn’t going to let first naked Blackthorn reveal be her art! (And I keep getting asked when I post her stuff. She’s not currently posting art online, but if that changes I’ll let you guys know.)

Billing Pause for January

I’m going to be traveling in early February (going to Disneyland for the first time in over 30 years! Wheee!) so I’m pausing billing so I can take care of some things before I go, I may end up pausing February too but I’ll see how January goes before I make that call.

I’ll try to do some small updates so it’s clear I’m not dead during that time. Happy Holidays and be safe, everybody!
