(🐀💕+) Dr. Zo's Son Character Sheets!

Meet Samael!!! I did 4 sheets instead of 3 bc I couldn't stop drawing him :)

Basics

Sam is Dr. Zo's only child, and has just turned four. He will be going to public school, as both Dr. Zo and his mother work too much to homeschool him. Samael's fur coloring takes after his mother's side, though he does have the same shaped inner fore-arm mark as Clara.

At first meeting, he is standoffish, and it takes him a while to warm up to others. He is more introverted than extroverted, but by no means shy once you get to know him. He has strong opinions- if he shares them- and loves watching movies and doing brain puzzles, such as Sudoku, Rubik's Cube, Chess, and more.

People Skills

Sam doesn't talk a lot, and started talking later than most. However, when he does speak now, it is in full sentences. He's always found ways to communicate nonverbally, through gestures and facial expressions, and greatly enjoys his alone time and quiet time. He has some volume control issues, which he at this point doesn't care to work on, and Dr. Zo is doing some gentle guiding to help with his awareness. His sense of stranger danger is extremely good as well, and his parents taught him quickly to loudly cuss, scream 'I don't know you', bite and kick. His mom initiated this, and Dr. Zo backed her 100%.

Parent's Divorce

Dr. Zo and his ex-wife were divorced within the first year of Sam being born, and started living separately only a few months after that. Since then, Dr. Zo gets Sam Monday through the start of Friday, and his ex-wife has Sam Friday through the start of Monday. Sam also goes to his mother's for all big holidays except for Hollow's Eve (Might rename this to Spooky Eve bc I like it better as just calling it Spooky Eve, so don't be jarred if I do haha). This is intended to stay the same through when Sam starts public school.

When asked, Sam doesn't typically say anything about his parents living separately, but if he does, he'll say quite confidently, "Mom and dad still love each other very much," and then won't say much else about it. Both Dr. Zo and Sam's mother do not introduce him to anyone they might be romantically interested in unless they see a serious future with the person, so him seeing his parents have affinity towards anyone but each other isn't something he's witnessed much of.

Todd & Clara

Sam adores Todd, almost idolizes him, to Dr. Zo's distress. Todd makes shirts for Sam to wear on his portable heat press, and Sam's current favorites are one that says "Bro", one that says "noob", one that has a train, and one with a shitty looking sun(?) on the front wearing sun glasses and smiling. It took Sam's parents a lot of convincing to let Todd babysit him, but once they begrudgingly allowed him to (with Live feed cameras set up during a SHORT outing), to their great surprise Todd does a really good job.

Sam is neutral about Clara, but comes off like he dislikes her. Mostly because he generally has no interest in talking to her, and she's not great with kids so she kind of avoids him. Sam also really enjoys maths, and Clara enjoys art, so they don't have a lot in common. Only time they get along well at their current ages is silently, with them both doing their own thing.

Sensory Issues

Sam has heightened senses when it comes to textures and sounds; he dresses himself, and picks out most of his own clothes when they go out, so Dr. Zo at this point has a good understanding of what materials he likes and what seriously repulses him. Dr. Zo and Sam's mom also both have tangles, chews, fidgets, and noise-cancelling headphones at their separate homes, which helps ease any discomfort Sam feels situationally.

Sam's Phone

Sam just now has gotten his first phone, a couple days prior to his birthday so it could be set up and working. It has a limited amount of contacts, among them his parents, Todd, Clara, Dr. Zo's mom, and Dr. Zo's dad. It has GPS tracking, which his mom insisted on, it always rings at full volume, and it has heavy parental controls on it also set by his mom. Again, Dr. Zo and she talked about it and he backs the controls she put on it 100%.

Sam has also downloaded quite a few games. The only one deviating from his clear want for games having to do with math, sorting, counting, and building, is one called 'Pretty Princess Pals', to which Dr. Zo understands is a dress-up and house decoration game.
