Apple Appstore Policy Changes | A Warning

Patreon has been informing creators that policy changes in the Apple Appstore will prompt changes to patron membership charging in the Patreon iOS app.
Note that from November 2024, patrons subscribing to any Patreon through the iOS App will potentially be charged 30% more, subject to Apple Appstore's fees for in-app transactions.
Note that I'm not a fan of the idea of Apple eating into my income and as such, future transactions through Patreon's iOS app will incur this 30% charge on top of the standard membership rates and VAT/GST.
To combat this, those currently subscribed through the iOS Patreon app, I urge you to instead subscribe to my page directly through Patreon's website via a web-browser to ensure that you're not being caught by the increased fees!
I will be posting a reminder of this leading up to the changes and hopefully those that are subscribed through the iOS app have moved on from it!

Additional stuff is that this strong arming has patreon retiring per post access for subscription models across the board. It kinda screws less frequent creators who want to be fairer to their audiences. Not relevant here but apple just has long reaching effects.
