is there still an OOP discord available?

You know, with the liaison and trade caravan...I'm thinking about a Dwarf Fortress mod...Yinglet Enclave. It's not like being thrown into a DF world would make Yinglets any more prone to hilariously terrible disasters than they already are...

Matthias Preissl

Yinglet Mutation: Pointy Nose. Your nose is especially sharp and may be used as a natural weapon dealing 1d2 piercing damage.

John C Butler

Nose keeps growing until it can be used as a piercing weapon in combat

Val Salia

And it adores you! : 3

Val Salia

Yeah, there's a lot of different situations with a lot of different effects on their lives!

Val Salia

As an enclave grows and more of its basic needs is met, they're able to specialize a bit, yeah!

Val Salia

It's one of the upsides of a company printing its own news!

Val Salia

They do that sometimes!

It's crunchy at first, and coalesces into a sort of chewy texture

Minor note in character design, the grey female has a face structure similar to the way Kass was drawn in the first 100 pages of the comic. I like that Kass is drawn with the longer "seeking" personality type muzzle now. I know Val said at one point there are three functional Yinglet genders, Preening Male, Seeking Male, and Female. I wonder if "Seeking Female" is prevalent enough to qualify as a fourth gender, or if there's not enough variation for it to be a thing. I realize art styles change over time and Val has improved a lot as an artist, and character designs, especially the Yinglets, have changed subtlely over the course of the comic. I still kind of like the idea that Kass' lengthening muzzle is a sign that she's actually just reaching full physical maturity as a Yinglet.

I adore this world building!

I like these ideas, even if few of them are surprising. Imagine being a transfer to another enclave, nervous about introducing yourself and on finding a role where you're headed, or perhaps eager to prove you made the right decision in going, or perhaps unsure the liaisons made the right decision in sending you someplace new, but trusting that they know something about you that you don't, on some level.

Thorin N. Tatge

Some enclaves with rising fortunes might well find themselves owning the necessary resources to train liaisons. I wonder if Viz has started that plan yet.

Thomas Halpin

Very informative. I especially like the Ivanmoth plug about money verification for just a small fee.

Vet

I do like to see Yinglets actually being competent.

What's an ear or two between friends anyway?

Love the crunchy world building in the field guides
