You should look up openings for diplomatic positions to small animal-person species!

Just find someone who's serious but humble and eat lots of raw mollusks and it'll be close enough

Ya gotta either nail it or screw it

This page happened to fall at an especially Thanksgiving-near time of year, didn't it

It's okay, there's more than enough debtors in the city who need to work it off

This is similar to how I imagined myself handling the incident in Kass's position. I would have been inclined not even to acknowledge the incident as something potentially punishable, but rather to rather formally explain my presence: "Ah! I imagine you may all be wondering about my commission. It is not, in fact, a coincidence zat I am a yinglet and an officer; za trademaster wished to have a yinglet officer in his ranks, and I was selected. My role here is to aid in diplomatic relations with za local enclave, to assist head scientist Ran in his studies (which is also why Yannit here is in residence), and to provide reports to the trademaster of a private nature. Of course, I'm not able to speak furzher on zhose reports, but are zhere any questions aside from zat? No? Well zhen... let us continue wizh the construction of a uniform for Recruit Yannit." I might add something about why I made Lopin cry, if I have a good explanation. I would also ask if Nana has a proper name besides "Nana," and if she or another seamstress brings up her having struck me again, I can crisply say, "But! She zought I was a house mascot. She won't do it again, will you, Nana?"

I want Kass as my boss...please? My old boss left like 4 months ago and the administrators have yet to hire a replacement. I'm seriously about to take a print out of Kass and put it in her old seat.

I have a nervewracking suspicion that we the readers (I'm super guilty of it myself.) might have taken something different from the last few pages than was the author's intent. I imagine the big consideration was meant to be Kass's contemplation into what their new body means to them personally, with a tongue-in-cheek reference to "that one family member every family has" as a little humorous aside. And we kind of pressured them into digging into the latter more than was planned. I could be wrong though. I do feel a touch guilty nonetheless. XD Edit: Or maybe I'm making the same mistake right now...

I still prefer, "Oh don't worry, Nana, this won't go on record as an official reprimand... So long as you get on your face and pound some sand... PUSH OLD BITCH! PUUUUUUSH!"
