The Out-Of-Placers #78

It is important to introduce them to the concepts of hunting (smaller, injured) prey from an early age.

The species' main source of nourishment in the wild, i.e. picking up interesting things off the ground and putting them in their mouth, is a skill they are already born with.

Thanks as usual to Raptie for handling the character coloring and shading on this page!

While it's discouraged for them to treat any of them as personal "adopted" children, it's not at all unusual for a nurse and a child to remain close after they leave the nursery! Nurses tend to have a good number of young and grown adults who maintain a friendly relationship of some sort, and visit often.

Lol. Can't wait 'til the little one gets the chnce to test hs theory about becoming a red lady. Can a nanny yinglet have too strong emotional bond with a younglet? Or they are "trained" for that too?

I just noticed what looks like another nursery is on fire in the background

I think his brain just packed it up and called it a week.

If they manage to climb out and wander around, they are either doomed or far ahead of the rest of the class, so either way, mission accomplished!

Val Salia

Glad you feel that way! This was actually one of the first pages written, and I've been looking forward to getting it drawn for years.

Val Salia

The happy place seems smaller and smaller with every visit

Val Salia

Think of it as an accomplishment! It's really hard to make dried mud catch fire.

Kass Has Memorable Experiences At The Enclave, chapter 2

Val Salia

You could be talking about a portion of humanity here : O

Val Salia

Quickly cooling and drying feelings

Val Salia

That is exactly 1 too many Gs!

OMG , there is an opening for the out : what if a pup escape ? Seems that the green younglet gets no food : nothing for losers ........................ Be a diplomat isn't always a good job , Kass ; isn't it ? X3

Panther

You have to read the other comic about the human merchant be changed to yinglet to understand what this "house" can really be .............. ^_^"

Panther

This is fantastic! So many little things to appreciate on this one. The last panel alone makes this one of my favorite pages of the comic!

leaving now to the happy mind place.

Simone Spinozzi

That's what I was thinking. Silver has some potential emotional intelligence, and copper seems to have a shot at deductive reasoning; but note the green one who couldn't manage to be facing the right way for the 'hunt' even.

Max Last

That house in the background caught fire. I wonder how many yinglets didn't make it out in time.

Seems like it's mostly the silver and copper kid that ask the best questions. The rest seem to be a bit duller. In any event, the copper kid definitely has potential. Maybe he'll be a patriarch one day.

StarstruckEchoid

It’s only getting better. Kass is absolutely traumatized

Jaws18301

Interesting that they have such curious and promising youngs and so many adults never step far beyond this stage even go backward again. :P

Sunblaze

Kass is paralyzed by warm feelings. Everywhere the blood spattered.

ArcadeDragon

Oh my goodness gracious golly
