Vote sketch: Val Salia's Worst Handyman

Dedicated to the glorious unexpectedly entertaining show, Canada's Worst Handyman, which I've taken to sharing with the world during my art streams.

It's on youtube and Netflix, and I highly recommend starting with season 3, which features the legendary Joe "The Bullet" Barbaro, who is told to not hammer screws at least a dozen times, and then does it again within an hour.

It's remarkable such shows can exist! Thanks for the explanation.

Actually, each week, the one voted off by the judges is the 'most improved'. They're taught how to do things properly, then typically get put into a team to do the task that they've just been taught how to do. The idea is that they *don't believe they should be there*. There's no prize aside from being on TV and what knowledge they retain. There's a few of these, Canada's Worst Driver has been known to result in contestants licenses being revoked, they're THAT much of a road menace.

Yinglets would make a great sell on Hundertwasser, and surrealistic furnitures, as long as you hand them the assembly manual of a regular furniture. He even added many spirit-levels to level it. I think that even uses up the whole weight holding capacity of that chair.

I wonder how one competes to be the worst at something. Does the best contestant each episode get eliminated from the show with an increasingly modest prize, only to have the last and worst get nothing but a big boobyprize in the finale? I would like to see the yinglet go through an entire job, or an entire carpentry lesson. Then again, if this is a carpentry team, I'd like to know how they met and teamed up!

um, little one, just because the level isn't falling off, doesn't de facto mean its level. :) brilliant work

This is glorious. I love how well these characters fit their Canadian counterparts. Also, the yinglet and his cloud of Hey! deserves an award for speech bubble design.

Wait, is Val a Canadian? HOWS IS GOIN' FELLOW HOSER? :D

Val watching you stream your work while watching the show was some of the most fun I've had with a content creator in a long time. Super glad I found your art, really looking forward to what comes next. Thanks and long live the "The Bullet"
