Well, it's great for us! Someone once told me that she envied cows because they're so content. And I have to grant she had a point... but given that our personalities make us want to think complex thoughts and do interesting things, it's... good that we can? Maybe for a cow, being a cow is pretty damn great.

I think it's really charming how all the non-human species in this strip have definite advantages over humans, but also enough interesting disadvantages that they can admire and yearn for humanity. It's like a more organic, meaty twist on all the robots who constantly want to be more human. Also, with that much leeway on downward pressure, there's no -way- that baxxid brain can time the spinal derotation to four significant digits. It's just showing off.
