I guess Ran did, and he's trying to get her a companion, but someone has to delve deep enough to realize why she's uncomfortable. I guess now we know why indrel away from the hive go insane. They need to share in a great big muddle of Think-feel-want! This seems to be one of many transitional strips between plot arcs, but it's a good, serious one that would fit right into a plot arc and further things ominously. You don't want the only thing keeping your dangerous friend from going crazy to be something as ephemeral as hair (and the fondling privileges thereof).
