I was skeptical at first, but after reading the comic through again, I now also suspect he's talking about Vizlet. They seemed to have something going there before Kass entered the room with them together, and Vizlet later says that she -knows- Viracroix in a way that makes it sound like their relationship is interesting and complex, at the least. But the question remains--how does he intend for her to bear his child? Surrogate fatherhood? A 'reverse zhing'? Or is he intending to pull a Shrek and use another 'zhing' to become a yinglet himself!?! It would be hard to pull it off against the mostly serious tone of the rest of the comic, but that would be a fascinating plan. Maybe he has a fetish for the little guys? In addition, I want to say it's really nifty how all these species with such differences are shown getting along well. So much niceness! And without the comic being boring--there's plenty of conflict and intrigue to keep it lovely.

It reminds me of the idea that someday humanity will decide to replace itself with artificial lifeforms. It seems bizarre and hard to wrap one's head around at first, being literally unnatural, but the more I've thought about it, the more likely it seems that any sapient organic lifeforms out there eventually choose to do this.

Kass gets maneuvered into position as "The Invenmoth Matriarch", they find an incredibly rare Reverse Zhing, and Trademaster manipulates the situation so it goes to Viz, Human Viz ties the enclave closer to Invenmoth, Kass is left holding the bag running it and also thereby increases it's ties to Ivenmoth, final score Trademaster: Everything Everyone Else: Important Lessons about themselves, and life, were learned. Kass' only hope? A dark and brooding stranger who plays a similar game to the Trademaster. Named Beizel.
