You may have already read about some changes that Patreon is making due to pressure from Apple. Starting in November, Apple will require Patreon to charge a 30% fee on every subscription made through the iOS APP. 📱

This means that if you’re using the Patreon app on your iPhone or iPad to subscribe to multiple creators, you will incur an additional 30% fee each time your subscription renews for every creator you follow.

For this reason, DO NOT use the Patreon app for iPhone/iPad to start or renew your subscriptions. Subscribing through a desktop web browser or the Android app will NOT be subject to this fee. 💻

So if you are an iOS user, please choose to make your Patreon transactions outside of the iOS app, using Safari for example. This way, you will avoid the 30% fee.
