DQ Survey Reflections
Added 2017-07-07 23:38:52 +0000 UTCHey there! I thought I should actually publicly reflect on the DQ survey's most key findings.
Firstly, the stuff that's actually important. Under 20% of you are here only for diaper stuff, most of you like the TQ stuff well enough to support it which is cool to know. I imagine once DQ has a public version and gains more publicity this will change.
Only around 10% of you feel strongly enough to suggest that I should be spending more of my time on DQ than other diaper stuff and over 50% of you are loving it all so I'm definitely going to keep going with the same work ratio as I currently have for now.
With regards to what's most important to you lot inside of DQ, lots of things got many votes but the things that came out on top were essentially building on existing mechanics and just adding variety to the game as it exists at the moment. So I'll make sure to keep doing that as well as adding new features. I'll also be beginning work on the male player-character and I have plans for a new side-region.
Up to 45% of you have things you're definitely keen to have walled away behind options. I'll do my best to wall off as much as I can then, since it's important that you all still enjoy the new versions of the game!
Lots of the suggestions given were very useful, others were still valuable information even if I won't be using them. I know lots of you want to see full-on regression, shrinking and so on, but I'm shying away from this for now because a) it's not my thing so it's more difficult to write about and b) I'm not completely sure how Patreon and the UK legal system would feel about it.
Possibly most interesting of all was the fact that nearly 50% of you don't really care about the game element of the game, that is, winning vs losing. I understand that for most if not all of us it is a mechanism by which to achieve sexual release but the whole reason I'm making a game like this rather than one of your classic railroded interactive fiction pieces is that I think it's important that the game is actually interesting as well as stimulating. Anyway still slightly over 50% of you are at least slightly interested in balance which is good because I'm going to keep focusing on this in all games that I make!
And secondly some observations on demographics...
I'd like to welcome the two biological women who are supporting me, you're slightly outnumbered I'm afraid! But something tells me you're probably used to that. There are over then times as many transwomen supporting DQ than ciswomen at the moment. I have no idea what that says about brains or culture or what but it's definitely interesting.
We seem to have a pretty normally distributed population in terms of vauge political leaning which is cool, with a spike towards the people identifying as extremely left wing. The patriotism results are similarly normally distributed.
People were split almost 50/50 between giving people dominant or submissive diaper fetishes. Very interesting indeed. Does that mean half of you are dominant?
The most popular superpower was teleporting but never using adult toilets again. This is very interesting because in fact I think it's the most extreme drawback - all the rest are optional, you could just never use your power.
Over 60% of you would dive into the mind-bending virtual reality babifying game, which would quite probably change your life into a 24/7 adult baby slave lifestyle. You're all mad.
Over 50% of you are aware that firefly is the best TV series ever, which is reassuring. The next most popular was Rick and Morty which I agree is a strong contender. I enjoyed reading all your favourite shows, there's a lot of great ones in there. But Big Bang Theory? Really???
Anyway thank you for participating, I think it has been a valuable experience that will help me move forward and keep as many of you happy as possible!
Love from Aika
