Biolab Introduction WIP
Added 2024-02-18 14:37:25 +0000 UTCFor this week's update, I decided to post unfinished work of the introduction to the biolab.
Don't worry, it's just the introduction to the story, so there are no real spoilers here.
So I wanted to do a fun little introduction to the setting, part of the base interior, lab spaces, some other coworkers. But that is not turning out too well. I've been experimenting more with perspective, busier scenes etc, which is taking more effort than expected. Lines are good enough I think, but rendering now is a bit of an issue. Things are just taking too long and I'm not sure if it is worth the effort at this point in the story.
The proper story is supposed to start after p05 so I will move on from that point on, rather than spend much more time rendering and fixing things here.
If I'm going to refine/finish any of these it's going to be the locker room scene. I particularly like that one.

I agree, either vanilla quicksand or with some tentacle monster that lives in it. Maybe it has some periscope appendage to let it spot approaching prey and/or do visual and/or audio mimicry to lure them in. Like if it's nighttime it could give off light to make it look like there's a safe path when there isn't. It doesn't have to pull them all the way under (except in a bad ending), just get them waist-deep or so and then get to work breeding.

Love the little details, like what appear to be quite a few cameras down (foreshadowing?), and the gesture the blonde is making in the third page makes me wonder if they're gossiping about someone having a 'close encounter' with the wildlife. Really sells the setup, and makes it feel alive.
