This guy feels even more paranoid than Zorian in some ways.

2024-08-15 14:25:43 +0000 UTCA combination of not seeing what he personally can do about the vision and not knowing who he can even trust to talk about that has caused Marcus to try and put the vision in the back of his mind and forget about it. Talking about it, in his opinion, gets him nothing, and has a chance of attracting attention of various great forces.

There was a sense of urgency and purpose which Zenith seems to be lacking. Also, why hasn't Marcus spoken to anyone other than Sacred Oak about the visions? It's important and you've shown that the vision repeatedly forces his attention onto it.

2024-08-12 07:46:47 +0000 UTCThe little Academy is starting to come together, even he really does need to come up with a name for it. Mysteries in the basement, which might make things interesting later on. I like that you're writing the kids well enough that they seem like kids, even if they are a bit bratty and annoying as a result. Cricket is easily the most endearing one at the moment. Kind of looking forward to seeing the rest get knocked out of their socks when Marcus finally runs into a situation that forces him to cut loose a bit and they realise how much they've been underestimating him. And unfortunately for his peace and quiet, it seems like the Raven Temple has it's eye on him, to the point of sending Helvran over as a representative. Divine attention doesn't bode well, though it should make the story more interesting. Thanks for the chapter!
