And I literally had to have each trilogy of songs grow on me until I appreciated the entire album. Probably my favorite album of all time not gonna lie, but its close. I never get bored of it. Was waiting for this reaction since you guys reacted to Charli!

2025-03-18 03:34:06 +0000 UTCIf you guys haven't heard it yet, although I'm sure Connor is aware of it, you should spin the version of Visions that Charli did for an Appleville session with PC Music (it's on YouTube as "Charli XCX - Live at Appleville"). It's a much longer version, but it has one the most beautiful synth moments I've ever heard in my life. You'll know it when you hear it. Also, cannot wait for the Pop 2 video! Some of her absolute best work with some incredible collabs for sure

Great indie rock band from Nottingham, England. I don’t think they are hugely well known at the moment, but I’ve loved the singles off the album so far. Check ‘em out!!

2025-03-05 20:31:51 +0000 UTCif you were in the charli fandom at the time this album was being made, and were attending her zoom sessions and ig lives where she shared demos and asked fans for lyric ideas, i think you have an insanely special connection to it. that was such a positive and creative space for her to create during lockdown. i think music felt so special at that time because i was able to participate in so many active online communities who were all listening to the same things in realtime with each other. it definitely made lockdown a bittersweet time. ❤️

2025-03-05 20:07:52 +0000 UTCsuch an amazing comfort album. in 2021 she did only 3 small shows (LA, NYC, London) for this album and i was lucky enough to get to go to the nyc one in a 700 cap venue. she was quite literally one or two feet in front of me performing the whole album front to back, top 3 concert experience for me

Anthems was such a cathartic first listen cause it felt like someone (in the music I listened to at least) was finally vocalising how isolating things were but stressed that it wouldn't last forever. It's crazy how the notes app/ig live song ended up defining lockdown for me.
