His live shows are always great because he puts a lot of thought and care into making them unique, plus this could be his last one for a long time. All of his interviews during this rollout he's been saying the live show is the most important part of the release - so I think this is going to be a special tour. Plus a lot of these songs sound like they're going to be crazy fun live

Every listen since the first I’ve felt more of a through line and understand the story, which will definitely also be helped by the movie. Steps (Jericho) beach is an awesome track to play driving

I think if you give it another run through front to back you'll find that it feels bizarrely connected and cohesive despite there being 90 different genres on the album. The outros are very well crafted

Just a note so there's some clarification on what this album is: according to Donald Glover this is the soundtrack to the film Bando Stone & The New World. The soundtrack doesn't follow an automatic theme, but rather the songs represent emotions/moments found in the film. This is why the album can feel disjointed genre wise. Hope that clarifies that this is a bit different to what he did with BTI as it is not a direct chronological accompaniment. I'd look into his Apple Music interview with Zane Lowe for more info!!
