I think they just edited it to look like all portals exploded before they were finished. To make it more "dramatic". There isn't a season 1 of this. NCT World 2.0 was a one time show broadcasted on TV in 2020. They do have other contents like NCT Life (traveling show with various units depending on the season) or NCT Show (on youtube, with different concepts everytime).
