Pi Cheolin (Featuring) was one of Dino's alter egos. It was his nosy old man character in Caratland skit. He is so loved by Carats that he shows up randomly in GoSe episodes & SVT concerts.

It started out in a Caratland skit in 2021 I think and they just kept bringing him back in different content such as Going Seventeen or Dino just brings him out randomly LOL

2024-07-01 22:21:19 +0000 UTCI’d recommend watching BSS and Dino practicing for this performance as you see BSS reaction to Dino’s rap lyrics he wrote on his own which they were all impressed with, it’s really sweet, he’s rapping as if he was an old man (his alter ego Pi Cheolin), the video is called Inside Seventeen 38th Golden Disk Awards Sketch and it’s the video with around 700-800k views. I’d also recommend Seventeen #2 (Comeback Time #2) where you see the BSS members enlist the help of Dino’s other alter ego (Mr Cha) to be their choreographer/ dance teacher for their comeback. Dino really likes to commit to his characters and so BSS are just basically laughing and enjoying his performance the whole video so if you want a good laugh I’d recommend those videos😂

2024-07-01 22:20:32 +0000 UTCOnly seventeen could bring an inside joke from their fan meeting/variety show to a whole award show and actually have it blow up like this😭the members knew dino would rap in place of the female rapper youngji who originally featured but they didn’t know he’d come dressed up as pi cheolin, one of his characters. it’s also really cool how he’s rapping really melodically (as he usually does) but keeping that old man tone and never wavering! his verse is also along the lines of what a grandad/old person would say to motivate you💀 hope you watch gose and caratland to know who pi cheolin actually is so it’ll make more sense to you! he was first introduced in a caratland skit as a nosy old man, pi cheolin sounds like ‘featuring’, funny bc he’s always lurking in the video and getting into everyone’s business. they then introduced him into gose too, the episode is called wonwoo’s diary, where everyone has a character, since then there’s been a lot of references and memes (pi cheolin also curses a lot), and recently pi cheolin became the ceo of bomg entertainment (another gose episode where the members were recruited by pi cheolin and they did a parody of god of music), and now he’s out here actually featuring on songs! the seventeen lore is very deep and a lot of references come from gose which is why i hoped you’d watch this performance after gose bc it’s even funnier when you know who he is but hey ho

2024-07-01 22:05:53 +0000 UTCThey were laughing cause they knew dino was joining BSS in their performance for this song at the end of year show last year but they weren’t expecting Dino would be dressed up and performing his rap verses he wrote himself as his old man alter ego known as Pi Cheolin who is well known and loved by Carats, seventeen were both surprised and probably embarrassed and proud of Dino and BSS altogether (BSS were dressed up as university cheerleaders that most Korean universities have and perform in those traditional outfits)! Glad you guys enjoyed, you should check out more videos of Dino’s alter ego Pi Cheolin they’re always entertaining😂

This is an inside joke and only seventeen are daring enough to get let an inside joke travel to an award. In fact, Pi Cheolin's character was so well received that their Going Seventeen episodes with Pi Cheolin was aired in Korean TV channel recently. 😄 Hope this helps. SEVENTEEN has loads of these inside jokes that they play with on stage.
