to comment about the name stan, i agree with the stalker/fan theory and also stanly is sometimes used as a name to refer to the devil and eminem's music tends to have satanic connections within his edgy lyricism

As I was listening to the song along with you guys I was thinking that the track is maybe even more relevant nowadays than it was back in 2000 when it was released. Social media platforms have created ecosystems where vast amounts of people are "celebrities" of a kind, and while the scale is smaller, the celebrity is often much closer to and more involved with their fans/followers. This can lead to all sorts of problems where some fans get a false sense that they know the celebrity personally and can connect with them on that level while the celebrity knows nothing or next to nothing about any individual fan. I hear about this a lot from various online creators that I follow and it has led me to feel quite strongly about not wanting to become an "internet celebrity" or a "social media influencer" of any kind myself. I hope you guys haven't had too many issues with this kind of "stan" behavior due to the success of the Turning The Tables. I'm sure it can be challenging to navigate.
