But I agree with Connor that 2001 is the better record and both album's focus on real instruments and synths instead of relying on samples which was the dominant sound of 90s hip hop is what makes them sound so timeless and fresh, 2001 more so because the production does not sound like an album that came out in 1999 AT ALL! Also Kevin's reaction to Slob on my knob was the highlight for me 😂!

Also, I highly recommend you listen to The D.O.C.'s solo album on your own one day. After his accident he became a ghostwriter for Dre and others. His debut album is also solely produced by Dre. He even co-wrote Nuthin But A G Thang.
