Really like the reaction. This whole album was a man turning on God mode. And the third verses of almost every song just blow me away. Especially White America, Cleaning out my Closet, Say goodbye Hollywood, Sing for the moment. It’s preposterous how good the pen game is here

Loved the reaction as always but I gotta say as much as Dre influenced Eminem's sound (and I'm sure he touched every track in some way from mix to arrangement, etc), the vast majority of tracks on the Eminem Show were produced by Eminem and Jeff Bass.

Great reaction! I’d agree about Em having similar flows on this album, but on his later stuff he does his most complex and ingenious cadences (flow rhythms) while also doing much more complex double and triple entendres and multisyllabic rhyme schemes. “Music To Be Murdered By” (both albums) are his newest albums and are widely regarded as some of his best work by those who love the art of rap. Em is at the top of his game and is better now than ever, I’d say. Definitely worth checking out any and all of his albums, honestly. Hope you do more Em albums soon!

Back story for Say What You Say. JD is a super producer, along with Timbaland, Dr. Dre, Pharrell, and Swizz Beats and a few others. Jermaine Dupri was going around saying all other producers needed collaborations(help) to make their best records. While he was producing his Hit Songs Solo. So this is the Dr Dre. Response and that’s why you hear the little snippet of Timbaland at the very end of the song.

The Eminem Show is actually the first album that is almost completely produced by Eminem alone. Dre only co-produced Say What You Say, Business and My Dads Gone Crazy. Eminem is such an underrated producer. He also produced Ghetto Ghospel btw.

slim shady lp is my personal favorite since it's the most zany/cartoony/stylized and has more topics an everyman can relate to (drugs, poverty, shitty jobs, dreams etc). not to mention it has rock bottom and just don't give a fuck, my two favorite em songs ever. even if sslp doesn't happen soon i hope mmlp is in the pipeline ! i do love relapse but it's not nearly as important or impactful as his first 3
