2023-11-26 01:37:06 +0000 UTCIt is interesting to note that the song talks about three stages: RM talks about Tear (like crying tears), the stage of denial; Suga talks about Tear (tearing apart), the stage of anger; and Hope talks about Fear, losing yourself in the matter. Their tones and flow of rapping during their verses also match the emotion they are trying to put out, which i feel was the cherry on top. This is the must-cry song for ARMYs. Especially for those who knew them around 2018 and earlier. We cried for days. Thank you for the reaction!

2023-11-24 04:18:34 +0000 UTCIan was somehow right however like what others commented, the ‘tear’ was actually them breaking up. They considered disbanding early 2018 when they also released Let Go. ARMYs only found out about them close to disbanding end of 2018 during the MAMA Artist of The Year acceptance speech.

I love how bts can write lyrics that everyone can relate to in their own way while also being specific to their own experience. This song was actually written about their time in early 2018 where they genuinely contemplated disbanding. I’m sure other comments will give more detail, but the “breaking up” that’s occurring here is in reference to the band itself. So glad they got through that 💜 Thanks for the reaction!
