Inception Of A Grimm Soul - Chapter 4.2

A fist found purchase in her stomach, for a moment, Weiss doubled over it, spittle flying from her mouth, before the true force of the impact reverberated through her and she found herself being lifted up off the ground and sent flying. Her back flared with pain a moment later when she slammed into a tree over ten feet away, even with her aura absorbing most of the impact both from the punch and her crash.

The tree behind her cracked ominously before topping backwards and slamming into the forest floor behind her, shaking the ground beneath her. "Stop thinking you can't do this!" Cobalt's voice thundered.

Weiss threw herself to the side on instinct, not a thought of making it dignified at all flowing through her brain. A black boot flashed through her previous position and slammed into the remaining stump of the tree, pulverizing it as if it were made of paper mache.

His raw destructive strength was as mind boggling as always. She had to get away! She couldn't stop anything against this! Too strong! Too fast! She was nothing here!

That was all the time she had to think before his foot was sweeping her leg from her as she tried to stand, his hand lashing out and wrapping around her ankle and lifting her up into the air. She gagged once again and felt her aura dip even lower as she full on lifted her above his head and slammed her into the ground, hard.

"It's not about ability! Or skill, or power!" his voice continued to berate her, mercilessly as she was raised up and slammed into the ground, once, then twice, and then risen up for a third time. She barely understood what was going on, the pain in her back was too much, it felt like her spine was moments away from snapping and she was floating in a white haze, "It's all about instinct Weiss! You can't plead with it, you can't bargain with it and you can't just train for it! You force it! You command it to obey!"

She felt herself get swung through the air once more, and once more pain assaulted her. Her vision was forced back into reality, even as she choked on her own spite and bile from the force of the impact. For a second, she was staring up through the canopy of the trees of the Emerald Forest, before darkness itself surged into existence, and the face of death stared down at her, with glowing crimson red arms, "RAAAAAAAAAGGHHHH!" the gargantuan Ursa Major filling up her vision roared, drowning out all else.

Terror seized Weiss and she locked up. All she could see in that moment was death itself as the towering bear grimm reared up one massive clawed paw and lunged down at her. 'NO!' she screamed mentally, her eyes shutting on reflex.

Something deep inside her clicked. And the pain she was reflexively waiting for never came, only the sound of clanging metal and the vibrations of a blade.

Body shaking, Weiss tentatively opened her ears and stared up at an astounding sight. A massive towering ghostly white knight, its blade blocking the huge meaty paw of the Ursa Major.

..,Absently, Weiss realised she knew this ghostly knight. It was incredibly familiar. After all, it was the very foe she had to defeat for her father to allow her to attend Beacon Academy. It had been possessed by a Geist Grimm, and was the very interloper that scarred her once immaculate face.

The Armas Gigas.

A moment later, the giant Ursa Major vanished in a swirl of black smoke and she heard a familiar, pride filled snort of amusement from behind her. "Man, am I good or what?" Cobalt boasted. Her eyes rolled back and she could see him standing a few feet behind where she was laying on her back, his arms crossed and smirk on his face, "I figured it was like that. Instinct made it much easier to summon properly the first time, just the same way as for me. And what better way to do that then to make you think you were gonna die."

For a moment, Weiss just lay there. She was dazed, her aura was dangerously low and her body felt like one big bruise.

"No need to thank me," Cobalt continued on, "It's just what I do really. I kick ass and make everything work."

"Y-you're so mean." Weiss struggled to get the words out. He'd barely even given her an explanation as to what was going on when she turned up here in the Emerald Forest no more than ten minutes ago, and then he was attacking her full force!

"A bit," Cobalt nodded in agreement, walking over to stand above her, and smile down at her, "But we've been at it for a month, and I figured out you were never gonna get your summoning down that way. So I came up with another plan and voila."

He didn't even know the word 'voila' until she used it and explained it to him a week ago! She blinked as the knight above her fizzled and disappeared, and it was then she noticed her aura had completely run out.

She whined a bit as pain assaulted her entire body!

"I-i can't move!" she noticed after a moment of trying and failing to do get up.

"So frail." Cobalt shook his head.

"I am not!" Weiss disputed with a huff, "You're just freakishly strong with freakish endurance."

"I am pretty great." Cobalt nodded, laughing lightly in pride. He stepped forward as he did and crouched down, hooking his arms under Weiss' back and legs.

"H-hey, what are you doing!?" she sputtered as he hoisted her into the air in a princess carry, her cheeks tinting red with embarrassment.

"You said you can't move right?" he smirked down at her, "So since you're all helpless like this, I'll have to carry you back, wouldn't want a grimm to eat you up, would we?"

Weiss huffed, turning her head to the side and hiding the red stains of warmth on her cheeks from him, "Whatever, I'll allow it I suppose, though I better not feel your hands on my legs stray upwards, got it?"

"Oh no, my plans are foiled." Cobalt's smirk stretched a bit as he began walking back towards Beacon with the girl in his arms.

"Dial down on the sarcasm," she rolled her eyes, "Do remember, I'm well aware of how much of a degenerate you are." How could she not be, with the comments he'd made and the blatant ogling?

"Well, you're not wrong." he agreed, shamelessly.

Now she just needed to get feeling back in her body before they got back to Beacon. It was early and they didn't have classes today since many students would begin arriving today for the Vytal Festival.

But, there would still most likely be people out and about on the grounds, and she didn't want anyone seeing her like this!

Though, she did have to admit, 'His chest is so firm.' Weiss noted. With her head resting against his chest, she could feel just how broad and muscular his chest was.

A testament to all the hard work he put in when it came to his training. Endurance freak indeed.

________________

As it turned out, she didn't get enough feeling back in her legs to be able to stand and walk on her own. And to her humiliation, there was indeed a few people out and about.

...Professor Port had walked passed and non too subtly implied they were having sexual relations, and be sure not to do it in public, and then rambled on for ten minutes about a youth he knew of that had got into many a situation like that.

And while Cobalt found it amusing, Weiss was just mortified. And a little sick. She could go her entire life without having to picture Professor Port...like that.

All the while she was just held there in Cobalt's arms while the few people out and about watched on in interest.

The sigh of relief she let out when they finally got let away was definitely within the top three of her life. And from there, they quickly reached the first year dormitories, Cobalt coming to a stop in front of her teams dorm and casually kicking her door lightly three times to knock.

At this point, Weiss was just resigned. No way any of her team would let her away from a situation like this without teasing her.

The door swung open, and a familiar silver eyed girl stood in the entrance. 'No, I thought she'd still be sleeping at this time, she's the worst one!' Weiss bemoaned.

"Oh no Weiss!" Ruby gasped, yes flying wide open, "What happened!" she cried dramatically and began to zip around Cobalt, poking and prodding at her prone form.

"Ruby, I'm fine," Weiss sighed and looked up at Cobalt, "Let me down now will you?"

Cobalt shrugged and did as she asked, setting her gently on her feet, "Thank you," the white haired girl nodded curtly and unsheathed her weapon, pointing it at the floor and conjuring a line of weight glyphs that she proceeded to boost herself along over to her bed, "I should have just did this from the start."

She ignored the fact her aura had only recovered enough to do even that much in the time it took them to get back here.

"Handy." Cobalt nodded, impressed. As always, her semblance was so versatile. Doing that in reverse, he could use it to grab the television remote from ever getting up.

"So cool!" Ruby gushed before shaking her head and calming down a bit, "Man how rough were you on her if she can't even walk properly?" She looked to Cobalt and asked.

Cobalt's lips twitched at her phrasing, "It was her first time, so I went pretty easy on her," he replied, "Though, it was definitely world changing for her, and she'll be limping for a while no doubt."

"Man, you play rough, huh?" Ruby shook her head, the meaning of his words flying over her head.

"Well, it's hard to hold back with someone like Weiss," he shrugged, and gave the slightly younger girl a glance over. She like Weiss was already dressed for the day in her combat attire despite how early it was, his eyes lingering on the not insubstantial chest stretching out the top of her corset top thing, "If you want, I wouldn't mind giving you a pounding just like her."

He dodged to the side a second later to avoid a pillow thrown at his head from Weiss laying on her bed, "Cobalt!"

"Weiss, what is it?" Ruby asked innocently, "He was just offering to spar with me like he does you! Think how much I could improve going against Cobalt! Don't get all jealous, you're still my bestie!"

"That's not what he meant at all you twit!" Weiss groaned, palming her forehead.

"What else could he mean?" Ruby gave her a confused look.

And you took that moment to step back, "You clearly have something you need to work out, so I'll just be going then." Cobalt input and began walking away heading to his own dorm down at the end of the hall.

"We'll be talking about this later!" Weiss' voice echoed in the hall behind him coming from her bedroom, "More manner lessons for you, degenerate!"

Cobalt winced. But couldn't resist getting the last word in as he opened up the door to his dorm, "Wear a bikini when you try it, then we'll talk!" he shouted back and slipped into his room, closing the door behind him.

_______________

With Weiss' training for the day already taken care of, Cobalt was free to focus on his own training. And god was he happy that he could hit up the gym again with his punishment long having ended.

After a large hearty breakfast, with foods rich in protein like egg, he was off to the gym. The gym that was gloriously empty due to it being the weekend, and as such, he got a lot of piece to himself to work on his physical abilities and strengthening his body.

He spent a good few hours in the gym, before jumping in a shower and changing into a clean pair of shorts and tank top.

And with the rest of the day to himself and free, he decided to head up to the roof of the dorm building.

He could have headed back into the Emerald Forest and started hunting. There was a specific Grimm he wanted to find and get his hands on, or rather shadow.

But, he'd accomplished quite a bit today and was feeling lazy. So he decided to relax on the roof, where he would have a good view into the Emerald Forest. And if a Giant Nevermore happened to be flying around? Well, he'd be able to well see it while kicking back and relaxing.

As he opened the door and stepped out onto the roof though, Cobalt paused. There was a familiar redhead dressed in her school uniform sitting on the ledge.

Pyrrha Nikos.

As the door clicked shut behind him, the beautiful red head turned her head to look over her shoulder, her emerald green eyes glinting in the sunlight meeting his own dual coloured eyes.
