One Piece: Rise - East Blue Saga 3

"That could be a problem." Carina bit her lip, lowering the mini telescope from her eye.

"What could?" Rebecca asked from where she stood a few feet behind the purple haired woman, her hands holding the helm. They were already on course so she didn't exactly need to be doing this right now.

But she liked doing it anyway. She had officially gotten her duties on the ship! She was the Quartermaster, since she could make tons of weapons with her new cool devil fruit powers. And once she that technique of Vice Admiral Graydle's down, the one to make clones, she would also be able to take over as the Helmsan.

Helmswoman?

Magnus and Carina had shown her how to steer the ship over the past few days and it felt great. It gave her a sense of purpose. She wasn't just some layabout, she could contribute!

"Well, the good news," Carina began, turning around to face the younger girl, "Is that Clockwork Island just came into sight, we should be there in a half hour tops at our pace."

"That's great!" Rebecca beamed, before tilting her head to the side, "What's the bad news."

"...The Trump Pirates have a fleet of ships surrounding the island, shishi." Carina revealed with a laugh. They probably had at least a thousand pirates with how many ships she saw

"Yeah, that could be bad," Rebecca winced, before remembering, "Oh wait, I'm a logia now! Unless they have haki or sea stone they won't be able to hit me!" she laughed.

"Well aren't you lucky," Carina noted dryly, then sighed, "And of course that captain of ours is a monster, he could probably shrug off getting hit by a cannonball."

"Probably," Rebecca nodded in agreement, and pumped her fist into the air energetically, "Magnus is amazing like that!"

Carina chuckled at her enthusiasm and took a look around the deck, "Speaking of said captain," she said, giving a pointed look at the empty silver throne on the deck, "Where is he right now?"

Rebecca cocked her head to the side again and focused for a moment, "...He's in that empty room he put all those weights he bought in." the pink haired girl answered.

"Alright, gimme a sec and I'll go grab him." Carina patted the younger girl on the shoulder and made her way into the living area of the ship and down below.

She was so glad she'd started on getting those two to teach her how to use haki. It was sooo useful.

A phantom throb of pain rippled across the back of her skull and Carina winced. 'I wish it wasn't so painful to learn though.' she shuddered.

And the worst part was, the two monsters she was on a crew with, thought it was perfectly natural to beat someone over the head with a stick the size of a two by four to learn.

The sounds of heavy metal rang through the halls of the ship as she made her way down to where her captain was located.

Honestly, she couldn't even see it, but she felt exhausted and her muscles burning just from listening to it.

She pushed the door open and paused in the entryway, eyeing the boy that was her captain.

He was currently, in a hand stand, and with his bare feet, he had caught the bar of the weights he was using by his toes. Four weights were settled on the bar, two on each side, each one larger than she was tall, twice her height even, and each one weighing over a ton in weight.

And her captain? He was doing hand stand push ups, while carrying those massive weights with his bare feet

She bit her lip lightly as she admired the way his bugling muscles flexed with each repetition, and the way the sweat made his muscles gleam in the light.

He was built so damn well. He looked like he was carved from marble.

Carina gave herself a shake, not the time to be admiring her captains lovely muscles, "We kind have a problem." she spoke up.

The loud ringing clink of metal rang out as he stopped at the top of his next push up, "I know," Magnus replied and pushed up with his legs, the massive weights were tossed into the air and he flipped up onto his feet, casually raising a hand to catch the five ton plus weights, "I felt your emotions with my haki so listened in to your conversation with it as well." he added, lowering the weight to the ground gently and stretching out his limbs.

"Creepy." she wrinkled her nose at him.

"Don't act like you wouldn't do it as well if you could." he snorted, walking over to a table in the corner of the room where a few empty plates and mugs. Most likely filled with eggs and protein shake.

Magnus had a pretty protein high diet. He was constantly eating eggs, chicken breast, salmon and such.

"I'm not saying anything," Carina smirked at him, then jabbed a thumb over her finger, "Hurry up now will you captain? We're not far out from Clockwork Island, and they have a small fleet surrounding the island."

He rolled his eyes, "Yea yeah, I'm coming." he replied, picking up the empty plates and mugs and leaving the room behind with her.
