 Being thrown into another world so randomly, was very much, extremely jarring. All Nick had been doing was minding his own buisness, enjoying the brisk weather during a morning jog. The void shrank into a sphere, and then the sphere itself morphed, taking on the shape of a dragon. A dragon he knew well from the Yugioh cards and anime.

A pitch black ebony dragon, donned with red jewels in its joints and orange lines lining its body. But its most glaring feature, were its glowing crimson red eyes.

The Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon.

And then it entered his chest just like the void before, and he suddenly understood. The energy of the void seeping in to him had just been the dragons power, the void itself was the dragon. It was searching for a vessel as it's physical body had been destroyed and only its soul remained. It needed a soul for one simple reason.

So that it didn't get stuffed in a sacred gear.

So it searched out for a proper vessel that could house it, but could not find one. But just when all seemed lost, Ophis engaged Great Red in a battle, and there was an opening in the Dimensional Gap where Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon had been hiding. And with freedom to reign the Dimensonal Gap while Great Red was busy, the dragon of darkness looked into other worlds and found one who's soul was compatible, even if too weak.

So Red-eyes Darkness pulled him into his world, found somewhere secluded and more or less made the void out of his own soul and trapped Nick within it, feeding him bit by bit of the dragons power until his body and soul adjusted over time, growing stronger and stronger until he could handle the full might of the dragon's power without dying, and then it entered him.

"Ah, so annoying," Nick groaned as he leaned against the wall of the opening gate leading to Kuoh Academy. He watched the perverted antics of Issei Hyoudou and his two friends as they were beaten down by the Kendo club girls, again.

This world, was an odd one. It was like three in one. They were a guild of humans through and through who harnessed magic without relying on the power of the supernatural factions, and they were strong. Natsu Dragneel was in the guild's dragon team. He was a human raised by a dragon after his brother and parents were killed in a fight between the dragon and an evil one. Not too different from canon there – so as a dragon specialist, Natsu was quick to find him, and bring him to Kuoh Academy, their official above ground headquarters, where they brought humans with potential for their own safety, to help train them up so that they weren't mere prey for the supernatural factions to play with as they saw fit.

Nothing prepared Nick for being assigned a dorm and then being put into classes with many a familiar face. Yugi Moto, Anzu, Natsu himself, Issei Hyoudou, Lucy Heartfilia, Lisanna Strauss, Alexis Rhodes, Jaden Yuuki and many more that he knew long before ever meeting them in person.

It was both amazing, and freaking surreal.

But two months down the line, things were looking up for Nick. He had a decent handling on his powers, not full control of the might bestowed on him by the Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon, but he was already in the middle of the High-Class ranking, both in magical power and physical performance. The only ones in the class at his level were Natsu who was at the low Ultimate class physically and med high class magically, and Jaden who is the reincarnation of a primordial force – his physical ability was on par with Nick's while his magical power was already at the mid Ultimate class, and he could boost both even higher when he used the spirit of his own Ka, Yubel.

So he was strong. He had a steady income since the school had jobs or quests for students depending on their ranking where they could earn some side cash – taking out stray devils was fun. He wouldn't have been for it before his merge with the dragon, but some of his personality had changed, he was more sauve, more confident and loved a good fight.

His hopes were to find some stray evil dragons. Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon was powerful, no doubt. But its main power, was in taking the power of killed dragons, much like the Dragonborn in Skyrim, only their magical power was taken to empower Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon further.

Heck, the reason it lost its body in the first place was because a few gods, including freaking Indra got wary and decided to nip a potential problem in the bud post hate, and even then, teamed up on by multiple gods, Red-Eyes Darkness dragon still managed to kill two before going down.

So power and money, both very comforting things. The only thing missing from the trio is...women.
