This is a very short, 2 second proof of concept video. Mainly, I wanted to figure out how much time and energy it would take in order to make a longer video... and I have good and bad news.
The good news is that, with the new graphics cards, I actually can render a video in a reasonable amount of time... sort of. This video is 56 frames long and took about six hours to render. It's also huge; under normal circumstances, I would never choose to render a video at 2400x2400- that size is insane.
My next test will be to render a short series of actions on a somewhat smaller canvas- longer video, smaller frame size- and composite the pieces together. To that end, the next video output won't be until Wednesday night (not noon, as I usually do) and will be a lengthier video of a certain favorite muscle elf by kittyelfie. My plan is to have this video clock in around six to nine seconds- still not super long, but not exactly short, either.
Wish me luck!
