⚔️🛡️ATTACK ON TITAN S3E21 "Attack Titan" (EP.58) Full Reaction/Review

I might be wrong, but I don't think the "titan marks" under the eyes have some secret meaning aside from being the flesh that connects the shifter with the titan body.

What you said about Dina's titan eating Eren in ep. 1 it's not quite right, remember that Eren only got his titan powers when Grisha learned about Carla's death and then decided Eren should avenge her, passing the titan to him. It would have worked the second encounter tho (When Hannes died) Also, the brainwash thing only works with a titan shifter of royal blood that has the founding titan. This is not the case with Kruger who, to begin with, only possess the attack titan power. (I think you were thinking of the founder titan's ability to erase memories? But still, that couldn't be the case because the founding titan that was being passed down within the Reiss family at the time remained passive.)

Ymir was turned into a titan nearly 70 years ago, Kruger was far too young to have been the one to turn her

eren saying "shingeki no kyojin" (the anime name) gave me chills. like i said on a frieren ep, i love when there's an episode called just like the whole anime 😍👌

At the beginning of the episode you thought that Eren Kruger was somehow brainwashed - that doesn't really apply to him, he is just a man who was patriotic for the idea of restoration of Eldia, and feels remorse for not having been able to do much from the shadows.

Members of the royal family are only bound to the King‘s ideals when they inherit the FOUNDING Titan, not any other one. That‘s why Zeke for example isn‘t affected despite having Titan powers

Ster_arch_13

Also the reiss family only erased the memory of those who were born within the walls, anyone who comes from outside or is on the outside is not effected, this will be explained better in season 4

The King in the Walls (Freida Reiss, and before that her uncle Uri Reiss), refuse to use the founding titans power and refuse to fight - they are quite content to sit back and watch Humanity within the walls be wiped out, they deem it the only way for Eldia to atone for its past sins and for the world to achieve true peace. Eren Kruger wanted Grisha to infiltrate the walls, and steal the founding titan from the pacifist king and use it against Marley to restore Eldia. Marley wants to use Eldians as their pawn to subjugate the rest of the world, just as Eldia did previously, but as Marleyans cannot turn into Titans, they *need* Eldians to do this, and to do this effectively, they need the founding titan. If Historia became a pure titan (a mindless one), there would be no brainwashing, because she has no mind of her own anymore, the same way Dina behaved, but if, for example, they transformed Historia into said pure titan, and just let Eren *use* her for the power, would they do it? Would they force her to become a mindless pure titan? IF Historia gains the founding titan ability, yes, she would likely be brainwashed by the first King and wipe humanities memory again.
