03 Drinking Buddies
Added 2020-02-12 00:47:17 +0000 UTCNakia dropped to her knee to steady her shot; the first troll was dazed, but hardly down for the count, and its erratic swaying made drawing a bead particularly difficult. Nakia didn't have long; she lined up the shot and released, planting her second shaft in the troll's eye.
This, unfortunately, did not serve to quieten the dying troll's mate. The second troll roared its outrage and, before Nakia could line up a third shot, grabbed the fallen rock and hurled it at the archer. If not for Aura's timely intervention with a magical shield, Nakia would have been crushed and no priest or doctor would have been able to bring her back.
The troll roared again, preparing to charge the two adventurers...
