To be honest, Nile's position is reasonable, despite him being quiet radical about it. He simply does his job. In the start of the episode you can see that rumors about Eren are being perceived differently by Wall Rose citizens and by Wall Sina citizens. It's clear things aren't simple here, people don't trust each other and those in power are actually getting prepared for possible civil conflicts. I don't think all these people are dumb, that's simply what happens when you bring together people with little info they do have and different goals. Also they're judging a freaking half-man half-titan guy they first hear of, no way they're believing him that easily. And a lot are regular people, returning lost territories isn't their first priority, they want to make sure that ones left are safe and sealed and no possible predators are 'among them'.

2025-05-27 02:45:24 +0000 UTCI’m not sure which version you’re watching, but some of the names are… quite different to what I watched and from what I’m seeing on fandom sites. Like “Mike” is actually supposed to be “Miche”. That was the most egregious one I noticed but I think they’re messing up a few others as well. Like I think they spelled “Hange” as “Hanji” in the version you’re watching. Idk, hopefully someone can come along and confirm/help figure out what version to watch 😭

I wouldn't get too worried about the overabundance of names as you do get used to them after a while, although having a notebook to jot them down isn't a bad idea. The names can be odd as they are a Japanese writer's idea of what names in a vaguely late medieval European world would be, which then need to be translated back into Western spelling. If you do get confused as to pronunciation, whatever you do, do NOT google, as that way lies death by spoiler. Just to say that the sniffing solider, Mike, is pronounced Mee-kay, and not like the short form of Michael. As for other series to watch: like many others I would recommend Vinland Saga. My only caveat is that it might be best watched after completing AoT as the two, although very different, have a somewhat similar tone. My two other recommendations would be Frieren and Orb. Frieren is an absolute masterpiece and totally different to AoT. It would make a good contrast. That said, it might alienate some AoT fans as it is such a different vibe. Orb is also fantastic. Very dense and theme-heavy. Can't wait for more AoT!

It has a very well written story :)) Also Not related but I really wanna see you react to the endings of attack on titan. It has SOME spoilers but not that you'd realise that they're spoilers. You'd only figure them out if you finished the series.
