Kachay grinned as she remembered Jack Nicholson's line from the cheesy Batman movie her brothers had made her watch.
To be honest, she found it more true-to-life than she had expected; mostly, movie-makers failed to comprehend vigilantes and the madmen they fought, but this Burton guy... apparently, he got it. The thing she found least believable about the whole show was how Batman, dark vigilante that he supposedly was, was unwilling to kill psychopaths who were obviously beyond redemption.
She donned her armored costume and took to the air, still contemplating her reaction to the movie. She guessed she could see why producers and directors wanted the hero to seem more sympathetic...
She came back to the Joker's line. "Have you ever danced with the devil in the pale moonlight?"
She began dancing, decades-old ballet lessons shaking off the crust of disuse as she began to spin and float in the air. "I am the devil in the pale moonlight," she thought, grinning as she pirouetted against the moon.
