Hey guys!

I have been working on this god damn ref for AGES. And I mean ages. As an artist it seems like there are always more pressing matters than working on your own stuff. Even scheduling 2-3 days for comic work was a tremendous mental effort for me, cause I felt like I wasn't entitled to this kind of time to spend into working on something that is mine.

But this weekend and a few weekends ago I had some time for myself and I have finally done it! One of the biggest refs I have ever done and definitely something VERY experimental in concept, but I am so proud of it :) I also divided this ref into smaller images cause they can all work on their own as little arts or refs.

After so many years Nero finally has a new ref! The previous ref he had was from 2018 and I'm sharing it here with you as well, so you can have a look at the changes he went through and I suppose also how my anatomical knowledge and style have changed. I was in denial for such a long time about his bodytype. I guess in my mind he was always kind of fat, but the community back then (at least people around me) were so much into ripped guys that I went along with the pressure and made him slender. It never sat quite right with me, so as years went by I started to make him larger and larger and I guess I am now at a point where I am happy with him. This is what I see him as - a fat, strong lion who won't let anyone give him shit. I love however the fact that his personality literally never changed. You can see in my description of him from 2018 he was exactly the same.
