Sharing some comic page wip works :) In case anyone is interested to see how much work goes into these. A lot.
First I make a whole plan for panelling for the entire chapter pretty much (or at least doing big chunks of it at once to make sure the flow and pacing works the way I want it to work and look. The next stage is making a more precise sketch of the page following the panelling I had planned. Then linework. For the comic I use a different brush than I normally do - it's a unique situation since I absolutely never use black lines and never use brushes without opacity. But here I use a classic black gel pen from the basic set in Clip Studio. Flat coloring, laying in basic shadows and in the end I finally zoom in and work on rendering each panel :D
In the meantime I place speech bubbles and try to work out how to make them flow. I have my precious editors and beta readers Aksan and Void check for any possible mistakes and make sure the text is readable in the correct order :D Thank you so much for this!
And then... It's done. Takes me more or less 2-3 days to finish off a page while still managing my socials and homelife. I do wonder how long I'll be able to keep this up, but I am highly otivated and for the time being I am determined to keep this pace up, cause I am very happy that I manage to move this project forward so fast.
With chapter 1 I remember I had huge problems with finding time to make it work. And I only ever did 2-3 pages a month. And now I do a page a week ever since I begun working on chapter 2. So I am very happy with the pace!
Hope you enjoy~
