Little update:
I've been waiting on some meds to get sorted, so I have been a bit of a scatty mess :')
So, refining/editing the Chîn script (all chapters have been updated with way more readable and slightly tweaked versions) and random art is what I've managed to be up to lately.
…And writing down random notes that may or may not turn into a part 2 to the Chîn story…
Long term I'm not really sure what direction I'm going creatively right now. It's hard to know what I'll be able to manage in my current state. So I'll share what I want to do, but unfortunately, that doesn't mean it'll be what happens:
I want to finish the Sal's gift comic - But atm the story just doesn't grab me anymore, and its an overwhelming amount of work to tackle without having my interest.
I want to finish the Zan series, but not as a comic - I want to finish it as a script, like Chîn, with some illustrations. Unfortunately, I'm also just not into the story as much anymore, though I still love it. The original writing and concept is several years old at this point, and I feel I've learned a lot since then, which makes it hard to continue as is.
I'm not sure If ill continue it as a script starting with part 3, or rewrite it from the beginning. The story is generally cannon to world lore that spans several other story concepts I have, including ones directly derived from Zan's story. But that's a lot to grapple right now, especially when my brain's focus is elsewhere…
I want to make Chîn into a comic, and write a part two - My brain might be a bit fixated on this story, and refuses to budge… I definitely want to write a part two, and I might take on the project of making part 1 into a comic.
Either way when I'm feeling better, I want to really get some work done on a comic again. Just not sure if it'll be finishing Sal's Gift or starting Chîn. Or, if I can manage it, a bit of both. And I want to/probably will end up working on writing Chîn 2.
Which atm I'm calling 'Al-Bāsiṭ'… =>
