Summer update! Thanks so much for your continued support!

Hey everyone. I've been still playing a ton of D&D, as normal, as I have for, you know, the last decade, and then off and on for another decade before that. So that's been going good.

I've also been really working on my schedule and considering what sort of responsibilities I have for my day job, what sort of responsibilities I have to my friends and family, my sports, my health, in addition to this Patreon, and then, of course, my D&D games that I run and play during the week.

All that being said, I still really love creating. I've gotten a great schedule worked out here where I can work several hours a week on these dungeons. So right now, I'm really focusing on putting out the heist. As you saw, the map's all done. And I've been writing the adventure now, basically daily. So, really appreciate everyone being patient with me over the summer. I mean, that was really important to me, to have those two months off to really recalibrate, rethink.

Originally, in January, I was going to start content creating and kind of look at it in March and see how it looked, if I could do it, if I still wanted to do it, if it was worth it. And I think it is, but there's just a couple changes coming out.

So one thing that's going to happen is, obviously, my new schedule is going to keep me a lot more consistent. However, the amount of time that I'm able to commit to this, in addition to my social media, in addition to any guides or long-form tips that I want to write up to, it's just not there. It's just not there. I can't be writing these 20, 30-room dungeons or these two-location adventures.

So, interestingly enough, I went ahead and asked some of my followers, like, how many rooms they like in their dungeons anyways. And most DMs these days don't do mega dungeons, right? I mean, smaller, five-room, ten-room dungeons are more the norm. And I think as well as a dungeon master myself, I don't want somebody's mega dungeon, necessarily, or their long, elaborate plot, because that might completely change my game, or it might take several sessions away from my campaign.

So I'm going to be pivoting a bit here. I'm going to be making these dungeons still. They're going to be the same style. They're going to be super easy to run still. They're going to have the story through it still. They're going to be challenging. They're going to be open-ended still, but they're just going to be smaller. Can't take, you know, a month to write a dungeon or a month to map the dungeon and then a month to write it. It just doesn't make sense. It's not enough content, I think. And then the end product is not something that a dungeon master is necessarily looking for.

That being said, I do love making these bigger dungeons. I mean, it is so much fun, and I love running my players through larger dungeons, in addition to, you know, small one-offs and little side quest dungeons that are just short and sweet. So that might be in the future still as this grows, and, you know, who knows what this will look like in a year or two, and I might have the resources and time to be able to put out some longer-form dungeons again.

So for now, I hope you enjoyed the last three dungeons, or the last two and this one coming up. We're going to be going back to basics here, five-room dungeons, maybe a bit bigger, you know, a few empty rooms, and that's just something that I know I can put out consistently.

Thanks for hanging in, and got a lot more coming.

By the way, I'm on Threads now, so definitely check that out. It's pretty chill over there, and it's just super easy to chat. It's basically like a giant chat room, a lot of good TTRPG content over there.

So thanks again! Looking forward to publishing the heist here. I'll keep you posted. Like I said, writing has started on the adventure. There are 20-plus rooms to the gnome ship, so got a lot to go through as well as the pre-heist, right, because it's not a heist without that planning phase. Every heist has your planning phase, then you've got the execution phase, and as you know, if you watch any heist movies, something's going to go wrong. So we've got that set as well.

Thanks for hanging in, and looking forward to creating more content for everyone and growing this community further.
