Land Dweller's Greeting?

"Must be some kind of land dweller greeting." One mermaid said to the other.
Commissioned piece for Thegoldenorbweaverr of a couple lovely damsels as mermaids caught up in a very large, very dangerous looking spiderweb. But unfortunately for the two happy-go-lucky mermaids they don't seem to realize just what position they are in.
