Halloween Poem
Added 2025-10-17 23:00:05 +0000 UTCSometimes silence sounds so alive
Beating and pulsing in a pitch black night
Every sound new and alien
Eyes straining to pierce the veil of darkness
Was that movement? Was that a breath?
Heartbeat thumping in my chest
Every hair on my arm on end as
Goosebumps sweep across my body
Is it my imagination?
Or were those lips?
Soft and cold
Is it my imagination?
Or is that a palm?
Lingering on my inner thigh
An unseen weight
Am I dreaming?
But desire radiates
From my navel to the tips of my toes
I can’t see it
But I can feel it
Whispered breath against my ear.
I can’t move a muscle
Not even to scream
But who would come to save me anyway?
The teasing hands and lips
Reach a crescendo
And I’m helpless
Wishing
Begging
To feel this dark presence
inside my own darkness
And then it is gone
The silence returns to stillness
The weight is released
Was it my imagination?
The wine red bruise
on my neck says otherwise
