Sue's First Moon Redux Announcement

Hey hey everyone! :D

So I wanted to share with you guys my plan to completely revamp Chapter one of TSWWS. I've been struggling with the idea in my head for awhile now and I've decided to go back to that dreadful night Sue endured her first change.

A few reasons why I've decided to do this.

1. Style Development

As I hope it's been clear, I think I've really improved on my drawing style and comic making skills, so looking back at the first chapter, it doesn't match well with these later ones in regards to consistency. If I hope to ever publish "Sue" I really want the art to flow together and not jarringly shift as if it was done by different artists. I'm aware I might still continue to grow and change as an artist but I'm going to make a better effort to reel myself in and stick to a certain style for the remainder of the book.

2. Story

As most know, Sue's story started out as just a fun homage to American Werewolf in London's amazing werewolf transformation. I never expected it to take off as well as it did! So I started writing and planning this series to continue on as a full fledged horror graphic novel. With these new ideas in mind, looking back at the first chapter, I found it to be somewhat lacking in context. I've written up a better opening with a little more information about Sue's character and the town she lives in. These little additions will, I hope, help new and current readers relate more with Sue as a character and sympathize with her plight.

3. Transformation

As far as the transformation goes, there are a lot of areas I loved about Sue's change, and some not so much. Most of the segments will remain with little tweaks but I'm considering leaving Sue's final form in mystery until her second "official" change. As much as I loved seeing her final look, I feel it really takes away from the suspense of the monster she becomes. I'd rather wait until she's actually got someone to terrorize before her beastly debut.

There are some things though I want to make clear. 

The new planned additions to the story are merely to support the later chapters, not change the direction the story is going.

Just like the first chapter, all of the pages will be released in black and white inks first and colored at a later time.

This revamp will not interfere with continued updates of Chapter 3 and beyond. I'll still be releasing those on a regular basis. These updates will be placed where they can in my schedule.

With all that said, I really hope you're excited to see this come back in a new way. It's going to be more work of course but you guys and this story I feel are worth that extra effort. I really appreciate each of you and all your support this past year.
