Hey guys!
Sorryyy if I've been quiet lately. That usually means I'm busy @.@! I'm busy with this.
I'm treating some of the scenes as animated - or at least that's what I'm trying to do with this game. There'll be a mix of static, semi-animated, and animated scenarios, not including the special scenes. This will take more work to do, but I think it'll be worth it, making a more impressionable demo.
Due to how scenes are animated - and I'm not a traditional frame-by-frame animator - I'll have to get creative with how I do this. Perhaps my guide will be modern animation done in this style (bones and tweens) found in modern games that have this in their story cutscenes. And even then, I don't have any of the advanced animation tools available to me. Please don't expect anime animation quality - those are hand drawn and finished by pros - but I'll see what I can do with what I have ;)
The animations will be rendered on the spot, just like the special scenes, so I think we can expect 60fps if your device/machine handles it. I'll try to optimize it for speed, since I'm not sure what the effect will be having more of this animated stuff loaded up in memory, though I think I have an idea and that's a performance hit on slower Android devices.
I'm going to shade up the characters now!
