Game Dev Update! 04-04-2019

First off, I wanted to say that due to Sharkie's unusually busier schedule this month, that I will be focusing more on Summer in Springtime... Well at least that was the plan I had in mind anyway. And here he comes giving me the first two chapters of the latest Ramen no Oujisama route!
Ok, so first off, about Summer in Springtime. I have silently updated the online builds and links to v0.9.0 and will be posting up a release post on this version shortly ;) The last group scene is being filled out and I'm planning on a total of 3 subscenes for that one. Building that was a tough one and each subscene is almost twice as long as normal. I'm sweating here lol! So first subscene is done, 2 more to go! I'm expecting to do another one, if not both this month. I'll also have to go back to prep up those new characters by our lovely artist!
Second point is that I've updated all builds of Summer in Springtime and Ramen no Oujisama to include a fix for the mouse wheel when you use them on menu lists. The mouse wheel is screwed up on some browsers like Firefox (just in case you do - but we're still making this game primarily on Chrome) because I used an unreliable deprecated property to detect the wheel difference. It will now be set to scroll at 60 pixels at a time if using a browser that doesn't have this mouse wheel property. This only affects the online versions of the game, not the desktop/mobile builds.
The third thing I'd like to bring up here is about Ramen no Oujisama's latest character route. I've read the latest two chapters and the planned character's name will be changed from Mana Morikami to Min-Seo Dangan (pronounced as MEEN-SU, I believe). I can start to see why from reading Sharkie's stuff. I won't say anything more about it ;) ;) Let's just say, it wasn't what I thought it would be, and I'm still very much intrigued! The style is also different so I'll need to edit out the special scenes accordingly to match the tone.
All right, that's it! Looks like I'll still have my hands full this month!
