Hey folks!
Not exactly a new WIP, but just wanted to share this. As you guys know, I'm an Illustrator and primarily work with vector art. While I do draw with a digital pen, it's not my preferred tool of choice unless it's an organic piece of work (lots of turns and intricate curvy patterns that aren't perfect shapes like a circle). Though that may change as I am learning how to properly shade so I can keep up with the great artists I work with. So with this image, I kindly let our crew know about this and we'd like to keep the consistency with the face on the left. Summer needs to look and feel like Summer ;)
When works are sent to me, they are essentially half-way, half-prepped where I need to pick up their work by preparing them for animation. So this means stuff needs to be redrawn, overdrawn, reshaded, interchangeable parts and variations need to be drawn in, and "debugging" the art needs to happen in the animation stage. To help speed things up as I've noticed, I need to do the small, mundane, necessary, and time consuming things - like the face part variations.
Anyway, I'm in the process of animating 5 scenes now. All artworks have been sent to the artists for some shading work.
I've also read through Chapter 2 of the 7th character route and all I'm gonna say is, if you fucking love shy girls - shy in an eccentric, genius way, you will love this one.
PS: I'm also talking to another artist who has expressed interest in collaborating. His art work is awesome - very Granblue Fantasy like - though I'm having doubts on my ability to animate them... Ah well, I'll just have to plow through his works to get my answer.
