Game Dev Update - 05/01/2018

Hey folks!

Ok, before I start off  with anything,  allow me to entertain you about this game, YS VIII, that I've been trying to finish up as soon as I could these past few days because, shite, the story's pretty fucking good. 

I mean despite the usual bittersweet relationship between Adol and his Blue-haired goddesses found in this series, this is the first time the game tries to develop more of the historical setting of the game. I think some of these story ideas take some inspiration from FF XIII, but if there's one thing that caught my attention is that even though the game doesn't have uber graphics and animations, it conveys the feeling and concept of despair pretty well - FFXIII-2's barren world was a little too absurd for me, imho. Well, there was a ton of absurdities in the story here, too, but hey, it's a fantasy game so that's expected, and it was very well put together! I won't mention anymore to prevent spoilers ;).

...And Dana is pretty hot warrior waifu material, so gotta take a mental note of that lol!

So if you like a good fantasy story, or you're a fan on the sidelines, this is the best one in the series to date.

Now about the constant crashes the PC version has been having, If you have an older system, maybe something from 2013/2014 running Win7 and an ATI GPU, you *should* be able to run the game without much problems. Otherwise, get the PS4 version if you can't wait for NISA's cleanup crew to finishing debugging the game.

Now that I've finished my mini review of YS VIII, where are we right now... 

In Ramen no Oujisama, i'm in the middle of the WIPs as you can see. This'll take a couple more days to prep up all the way to animation. I'm maybe about half way done with the static images. In terms of the story, up to chapter 2 has been written right now.

As for Summer in Springtime, the next set of special scenes are being drawn as we type this ;). So these'll probably be sent to me in a week or two.
