Poll regarding Ch-135

As you may have guessed, this is about Harry's relationship in the movie. So many people have messaged me about changing the canon of HP. Originally, I didn't want to, but as I thought about it more, I realized I'm not completely put off by the idea.
As an author, changing canon makes sense because we all know what happens there. Also JKR has said that she regrets pairing Ron/Hermione, so the logical conclusion is that she wanted to pair Hermione with Harry.
I cannot see any other alternative to this at all. So there won't be any Daphne (whose personality is entirely fan-made), Fleur, or any other girl. If DOS were a purely HP fanfiction, it could have been possible.
Before you vote, I want to clarify something, Emma and Troy would not go back to being lovers any time soon. There won't be anymore drama between them because of this and I intend to smooth things out soon enough.
So please select which direction you want the story to go.

2024-12-05 02:31:22 +0000 UTCHarry/Ginny with a better character arc for Ginny would be good. It feels like he's kind of gotten everything he needs from the HP film series and can focus more on future projects and his career after HP (singing & producing films) if the films are canon compliant.

2024-12-04 19:10:10 +0000 UTCI stand by my opinion that Ginny/Harry is the superior pairing on all accounts when you go at it from a pure book canon perspective. As for DoS: There would be too much retconning/handwaving/suspension of disbelief included to make the change believable after all the work Troy put in to make the Movies more canon compliant. The screenwriter(s) should've been on his ass much sooner, which would include rewrites of prior chapters. Butterflies just for butterflies' sake is about as interesting as "subverted expectations"
