The way it came across to me was that was a fear based response rather than hate. She felt she had to be defensive instead of accepting because the position of her MIL was I want to take the baby not help find a way to keep her sons family together.

There are programs and people and all kinds of things to help people with disabilities. At the end of the day if we say that someone who is blind or has one hand, or deaf doesn't have the right to be a parent we are headed down a slippery slippery slope.

Who are we to deny blind people, deaf people, severely asthmatic people, and people who are missing legs or hands the honor of being a parent? They would absolutely need help. And that’s my problem with the grandmother in this episode. She didn’t want to help Lizzie with the baby. She wanted to take the baby away and give Lizzie random holiday visits like she was a druggie mom who had harmed her child, not the honorable soldier who sacrificed limb and love for her country. I think the situation of both grandma and mom raising the baby is the best, but I was team mom all the way. You can’t simply take someone’s child because you want to replace the son you lost.

2025-02-27 14:54:49 +0000 UTCokay also, from personal experience: i’m gonna need everyone to stop telling charolette to forgive her rapist like what?? i get when people say shit like “forgive so and so for yourself” and sure holding onto anger isn’t great but i wholeheartedly believe you do not have to forgive your fucking rapist!! idk it’s all very nuanced and whatever Charolette needs to move on from this trauma i support. but Cooper is so right in this episode, screw your oath! that man will not get prosecuted the only way to save other potential victims is to kill that man! kill him please. like i am begging Sam to please let that man die. no rapist should be allowed to live. edit:i guess jail is an alright solution, i know prisoners don’t fuck with rapists so i hope he’ll get fucked up real bad in there

Also I agree with you : Pete can fuck off. Damn he's annoying me. Oh and I wanted Lee to die all episode long too. But hopefully he'll rot in prison until he does which is even better. (The scene where Charlotte comes into the OR and tells him she wanted to make sure her face would be the last he'd seen if he didn't make it was very powerful).
