Actually there is a blooper on youtube where Ross is trying to make Ben say "dada" and the baby actually say Dada for the first time. It's so cute.

2025-02-19 13:48:52 +0000 UTCYeah, Richard is about 20 years older than Chandler and Joey, so definitely looking at father territory there. Poor Phoebe with finding out the truth about all those sad movies

2025-02-19 03:43:01 +0000 UTCEvery time I watch this episode with a reactor they love it when Ben talks, but I don't have a maternal bone in my body lmao. It does nothing for me. I'd be just like Rachel holding the baby like a football. 😂😂😂😂 As for Richard, I thought it was cute how Joey and Chandler saw him as a father figure and wanted to emulate him. Surely that's a compliment. 🤷

2025-02-19 01:56:37 +0000 UTCThe back and forth jabs of "I didn't know they had foosball in the 1800s" "nice mustache btw when puberty hits that thing is really gonna kick in" absolutely kills me every time 😂

2025-02-18 21:29:50 +0000 UTCIt's just Cole if I remember correctly cause he wasn't needed very much and it isn't til way later in the series when Ben is older. The babies playing Ben here are different.

2025-02-18 21:29:17 +0000 UTCYeah I liked that one but it was a little weak imo in comparison with the rest of the season so far. Poor Phoebe though finding out about all those movies she didn't really know the ending of. Also the angry "I love you"s made me laugh.

2025-02-18 20:15:09 +0000 UTCRoss and Rachel saying "I love you" in the middle of their argument gets me every time. I see both of their points of view. Ross is very practical and logical while Rachel is more taking it one day at a time. But as a general rule, whether or not to have kids is something people should talk about early on in a relationship. It's very hard to make a relationship work if one wants kids and the other doesn't. Of course people can change their minds but some might cave just to keep being in the relationship which is never a good idea. I want kids and always have, so I would make that clear from the start (same with marriage). You would make a great dad Travis! As for Phoebe's mum shielding them from sad movies, I don't recommend it, but you do also have to make a judgement call on how much is too much for a kid of a certain age. Also, Ben is adorable, but I think all babies are. Anyway, funny thing about when Ross is trying to get Ben to say "dada" is that the kid actually kept saying it, so they had to retake the scene several times: https://youtu.be/F_PW5knyWVE?si=la0BAj5z08wJ88bI. Also, Ben's first word is "Hi", just like Ross's first word in the pilot (and the show). And I agree about Richard. Like I get it hurts his feelings but pretending he isn't the same age as their parents is a bit absurd. It doesn't HAVE to be a bad thing.
