I love this show but I must admit it contains many aspects that make me cringe massively, mostly throw away lines that are homophobic or racist by today's standards. This whole storyline is another one. I suspect in a post me-too world that Veronica would be more attuned to the sisterhood, less of a pick me, and this episodes plot would be handled far more sensitively.
